You’re right about the sound quality, absolutely stunning. I can thoroughly recommend the first two volumes. If you’re looking for a copy, try either BBE Music or Amazon. I’ve reviewed both compilations. You’ll really enjoy them both.

Well spotted Rupert. Glad you like The Holy Ghosts, they’re one of Scotland’s best bands just now. Things are looking good for Scottish music, with a new generation of great bands making a breakthrough. Have you heard of Shooting SYansfield or Finding Albert? Both are worth checking out.

Time has gone quickly.There’s still no sign of the SMR and BBR reviews. I had hoped they’d be here by now, because each day, I’m receiving hundreds of enquiries about them. As soon as I get them, I’ll get some reviews written. Then you’ll be able to decide whether to buy them.

As far as I know from talking to Cherry Red, the Loleatta Holloway album is still delayed. If you want, I can put you in touch with Cherry Red. They can keep you up to date with the release. You can let me know.

Enjoying the blog. I’ve been with you since day one. This month there’s been some great stuff. However, is there any sign of the SoulMusic Records and BBR Records? I saw you’d said that you hoped to have promo copies when you replied to Bobby. Are there any sign of them? It’s just I always read your reviews before buying them. Your reviews are spot on. I’ll hold off buying them until I’ve read your review.

Another thing is, is there any sign of the Loleatta Holloway album? It’s been delayed since last year. I tried contacting Cherry Red to find up, but never heard back from them. Maybe you could find out what’s going on.
